Autodesk software was used to “generate” the design for this quadcopter and 3D print it. Rather than having an engineer directly design the specifications for the drone, certain parameters were fed into the Autodesk software and the software generated the design to use as few materials as possible and still meet expectations. That’s a very cool way of thinking about design and very different from the current approach.
